this shoot is way overdue to post, but well worth the wait. the first time i saw these newlyweds, i knew i had to photograph them. they are ridiculously photogenic and total naturals in front of a camera! i took way too many pics, but here are my favorites...

now that THAT's over
don't get me wrong, i love the holidays, but i can't help but sigh with relief when it's over and the decorations are all packed away. with that all done now, i can finally get back to current projects. i have so many pics to edit, mainly focusing on landscapes that have been put on the back-burner for far too long. since they aren't done yet, however, here is a really really really old pic i took when i was a teenager. talk about a blast from the past!

Little Angel
i am just so thrilled with out this shoot turned out! i couldn't have asked for a cuter, more cooperative baby. baby P slept through almost the entire shoot and let me position him however i wanted. just look at that face:
don't you love the blue background, too? tara and andrew (the proud parents) just happened to have the perfect color on their wall. we just moved the couch and set up the studio right there.
(i know you've been wondering what my sets look like. ha ha!)
here are the highlights:
the weather that day was perfect, so we were even able to go to a nearby park for some family pics.
and what newborn shoot would be complete without a good crying pic or two? baby P was so happy up until the end, when he just wanted the camera out of his face so he could eat.
thanks so much tara, andrew & baby P for such a fabulous shoot!!! to see the full range of pics click here.

Back for Seconds
i did a shoot for this family last year and was so excited to get to work with them again this year. of course the weather didn't want to cooperate, though. it was incredibly cold and breezy, but they were great troopers! the shoot went great and there were tons of awesome pics, but if i had to narrow it down to a few of my faves, here they are:
thanks so much schneiders!!! to see the full shoot click here.

An Insider's Secret
kids cry. it's true! even in photo shoots...or especially in photo shoots.
sometimes those make the cutest pics, though. ;)
here's another secret...you can buy more than just prints on my website. with the holidays upon us, i thought i should let everyone in on the fact that pics can be used for presents! aside from buying standard 4x6 prints (starting out at just $0.21 a piece, by the way), those pics can be turned into all sorts of fun stuff that makes great gifts. when you visit my website and choose the pic(s) you want to use, click on the "buy" button to the right. a box will appear with all of your options. there's a tab for prints and a tab for merchandise with your favorite pic on it. here's a basic breakdown of what you can get and the prices (which are really low, because, unlike most photographers, my mark up is tiny. not much profit for me, but a great deal for you!):

Another Fabulous Family
nate, lori, and baby R were so much fun to work with. little R was such a trooper with the icy wind that was blowing and nate did a great job scouting out a location for us. lori exceeded my expectations in her outfit selection (the brighter the colors the better!) and everyone looked gorgeous! take a look for yourself:
such a fantastic shoot! i loved working with this family. they were born to model! click here to see the full shoot.
